Extinguisher Extended Service
Bell Fire & Safety can carry out an extended service on Water and Foam extinguishers, at 5 years from the installation date (or 6 years from the manufacture date marked). We can offer a service exchange on Powder and Wet Chemical extinguishers where you can exchange your old extinguisher, for a new or refurbished extinguisher.
Our extended service involves the same checks as the basic service, but also involves a discharge test to ensure proper operation of the extinguisher. The extinguisher is checked internally and externally for corrosion and damage. If deemed safe, the extinguisher can be recharged and put back into service. CO2 fire extinguishers are subject to different regulations, and it is more cost effective to replace with a new extinguisher at a 10 year interval.
